Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
The questions exporters and individuals actually ask us. Don't see yours? WhatsApp or email us and we'll answer it the same working day.
How long does FCL container shipping from the UK take?
Transit times vary by region: roughly 7–14 days to Europe, 14–21 days to Turkey, 18–30 days to the Middle East, 20–30 days to West Africa, and 25–35 days to Asia and the Americas. All port-to-port, plus a few days each side for collection, customs and delivery. Tell us your destination and we'll give you exact timings with your quote.
Do you handle customs clearance at both ends?
Yes. We arrange and manage UK export clearance and import clearance at the destination through trusted partners, including ATR/EUR1 movement certificates for Turkey. One operator handles your file throughout, so nothing falls between two brokers.
Will your quote be competitive?
We run lean and keep our overheads low, so there's no big-office markup in your price. Send us the route and what you're shipping and we'll come back with an all-in quote within 24 hours. If you already hold a quote from another forwarder, we're happy to be put up against it.
Can you ship household goods and personal effects?
Yes. We ship household goods and personal effects worldwide in full containers (FCL) for people relocating and for families sending furniture, white goods and boxes. We advise on packing, inventories and used personal-effects declarations, and we deliver door to door.
Which ports do you use?
On the UK side, primarily Felixstowe and Southampton. In Turkey we use Istanbul (Ambarli), Izmir, Mersin and Gemlik. For other destinations we route through the most efficient hub port for your cargo, confirmed when we quote.
What happens when my cargo arrives at the destination?
Once your shipment lands, we and our trusted local partners coordinate import customs clearance and then contact you to arrange delivery at a time that suits, door to door in most cases. The same operator who booked your shipment keeps you updated to the end.
Do I need to be there for delivery or customs at the other end?
Often, yes, many countries need the owner or a nominated representative present for import customs, especially for personal effects. Where that's the case we tell you in advance and walk you through it; in some places we can clear and deliver without you needing to attend.
Are there extra charges at the destination?
Some destinations have local charges separate from the sea freight: import customs, port handling and landing fees. We set these out as clearly as we can up front and, where possible, arrange them so there are no surprises at the other end.
